All the database credentials used in this guide can be found in a separate file in this example and located at /etc/odoo/odoo.cfg. That's how the script generates the new database credentials for Odoo during the installation. You can use those to connect to the Odoo database with your SQL client or with the odoo.db module.
The Odoo system can be controlled through a web interface. Go to server/odoo/ and log in with the account that was created during the installation. Here you can manage many of the crucial parts of the Odoo Server. You can also create and manage some of the client's accounts.
Odoo runs very well under Ubuntu and it is available both from the software center and the web browser. Make sure to grab yourself the official Odoo app from the App Store. On the Odoo instalation there are some possible mistakes that you must pay attention to. If you are not familiar with networking under Ubuntu, you'll need to set some initial configurations. These can be accessed through the /etc/network/interfaces file, by changing the interfaces file by hand or running the following command. d2c66b5586
