The Prime Wireless Pro 8 Series is one of the smaller models in the series, but it's still larger than your average bookshelf speaker. The cabinet is designed to be used as a stand-alone, portable sound solution, which means that it's sized for use in the bedroom, office or living room. The 8 Series has a relatively shallow back-box, which means it's unbalanced, but you'll be ok with that because it's a flat-panel speaker. The cabinet is 2 inches deep and has a diameter of 25.5 inches. The drivers are incorporated into the bottom of the cabinet, and its rear has an inverted dome design. This orientation allows it to create a more uniform, free-field response.
The 8 Series offers three different speaker configurations: 1, 2 and 3. The 1 configuration is the smallest unit, and it has a single 10-inch woofer and single 4-inch midrange driver. It generates a lot of volume for its size (1/2 watt) and has a small footprint--about 6 inches wide and 6 inches deep. The 2 configuration is slightly larger than the 1, and it has the same woofer and midrange driver. It's rated at 1/3 watt and is slightly larger than the 1, measuring 14 inches wide and 13 inches deep. The 3 configuration is the largest unit and has the same 10-inch woofer and midrange driver that other configurations have. It's rated at 1/4 watt and is slightly larger than the 2, measuring 18 inches wide and 15 inches deep.
