San Franciscio-based Realtime Mattress Retail, raises $35 million funding in Series C round led by Demand Media. The company is a retailer of premium mattresses and is using Software-as-a-Service technology to automate its supply chain, reduce costs, and simplify operations. This round follows $12.5M pre-money round, which was led by Novar and is followed shortly by a $10M convertible note round. In addition, Bedford Way, a division of Demand Media, will lead a $300M sale-of-equity round for Realtime Mattress. The proceeds from the sale will be used in a stock buyback.
Palo Alto, CA-based Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, raises $50 million in equity funding, led by Idealab Venture Capital, with participation from existing investor, Technicolor. The funds will be used to expand the company's cloud strategies, products and operations globally. The company leverages the current investments to solidify its leadership position in the data center virtualization and management market and build for future growth.
Space, the San Francisco Bay area-based space company, is raising a Series C round of $57 million to scale the world's first satellite service, which offers communications solutions for the Internet of Things. The company says the financing will be used to enhance the capabilities of its GPS Satellite Service and expand the network. It is led by the Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Technicolor, Frost & Sullivan, and the Cablevision Media Fund.
London-based agile portfolio management platform portfolio CRM, raises $45 million in Series C funding. The round includes investment from BNP Paribas and 3i, a venture capital firm that focuses on the private equity and venture stages of investment.
